Q. How much seed of each species do I have to purchase?

A. Four ounces is the minimum.

Q. Can I get species not listed in the catalog?

A. Yes, we have an extensive seed collector base to help you find what you need.

Q. What form of payment do you take?

A. Checks, PayPal, Electronic Fund Transfers

Q. Do you extend credit?

A. Yes, after we get to know you, otherwise, orders are paid in advance of shipping.

Q. What method of shipping do you use?

A. UPS ground service or USPS priority mail unless otherwise requested.

Q. Do you ship internationally?

A. Yes, we primarily use UPS. Phytosanitary Certificates are available if needed. They are $106.00 USD. There is also an International Bank Money Wiring Charge for customers wiring payments.

Q. What information is sent with the seed?

A. Included with each species is an identification tag. Information includes; seed lot identification number, source of collection, germination rate and date tested, purity rate, seeds per pound and tree performance characteristics.

Q. How often are germination tests done?

A. Each seed lot is tested one time per year.

Q. What is your seed purity and moisture content?

A. All seed lots are cleaned to minimum of 98% purity, 99% is our goal. All seed lots are dried down to less than 9% before shipping. We like to store seeds between 5% - 8%.

Q. How do I store the seed?

A. We store the seed at 5-10 degrees Fahrenheit. When you receive your order you should store it in the freezer until you are ready to use it.

Q. Do I have to cold moist stratify the seed?

A. Each seed species requires different sowing techniques. Some of our seed sources will require stratification before sowing.

Q. Is your seed treated with fungicide?

A. No, you will have to treat your seed beds with fungicide after sowing to prevent damping off.
